Since we brought Nellie home from the hospital, everyone keeps asking about Bowen. He was never very excited about having a little sister during my pregnancy. In fact, he generally told me, “No babies!” when I mentioned the his sister in my belly.
Since we’ve been home, Bowen couldn’t be sweeter.
He’s your typical almost three year old, in that he forgets he has to be gentle and can be a little loud, but he adores her.
He constantly wants to kiss her and love on her. We’ve read her more books than I can count. It’s been a pretty easy transition.
He’s had a few jealous moments at night. During those moments he’s asked me to hold him like the baby. I happily held him as soon as I was finished feeding Nellie, and he was ok with patiently waiting.
It almost seems too good to be true. I’ve got my fingers crossed that this lasts.
Oh, I almost forgot Coco. She’s loving her new sister too. Not that I ever had any doubts!
