Baker started training for his new career, which means he’s out of town quite a bit – including when I went into labor and Nellie’s second week of life.
So, like any normal, hormonal, one-week postpartum mom, I packed up and went to my Mom and Dad’s house for the week.
Nellie experienced her first long car ride to Nana and Papaw’s. She was wonderful in her car seat, and only had to stop once to eat, which also included changing her diaper three times.
She got to meet my aunt, cousins, old neighbors, and even my Ninny and Papaw.
We played with cousins and Nana and Papaw’s awesome toys.
Nellie even got her first real bath, with help from Nana.
I’m so thankful I have amazing parents that welcome me home whenever I need them. A newborn and rambunctious toddler aren’t the easiest guests to have for a week, but they sure are cute!
